Unable To Delete Emails In Outlook?

If you are unable to delete emails in Outlook 2016, follow the below-mentioned steps.

  • Launch the Outlook 2016 email client and click the File tab available at the top-left corner of the screen.
  • Select Info from the left-side panel and click the Accounts Settings button twice.
  • In the Accounts Settings window, click the Email tab and choose the account you wish to delete if your in the unable to delete emails in outlook situation.
  • On the POP and IMAP Account Settings screen, click the More Settings button if your unable to delete email in outlook.
  • Select the Advanced tab and select both the checkboxes in the Deleted Items section.
  • Click the OK button and try deleting the emails in outlook 2016.
  • If you are unable to delete emails, empty your Deleted Items mail folder.
  • Also, try using the Shift + Delete shortcut keys to hard delete the email from the folder.
  • Restart the Outlook program in Safe Mode by typing “outlook.exe/safe” in the Run dialog box to delete the emails.
