Steps To Configure The Gmail Server Settings In Outlook 2019:

  • Step 1:Before starting, open the default browser and navigate to the official Gmail sign-in page.
  • Step 2:Input your email address and password to log in to your Gmail account while Gmail server settings for Outlook.
  • Step 3:Click the Settings icon at the top-right corner and select the Settings option from the drop-down list.
  • Step 4:Go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab and select the Enable IMAP option in the IMAP Access section.
  • Step 5:If you are going to configure a POP account, select the Enable POP for all mail option in the POP download section.
  • Step 6:Save the configured settings by clicking the Save Changes button and log out from your Gmail account.
  • Step 7:Launch Microsoft Outlook 2019 by double-clicking its shortcut icon on the desktop.
  • Step 8:In the Outlook main window, click on the File tab at the top-left corner.
  • Step 9:Select the Info option from the left-side panel and click the Add Account button.
  • Step 10:To bypass automatic account setup, select the Manual setup or additional server types option.
  • Step 11:Click Next and choose the POP or IMAP option.
  • Step 12:Make sure to fill the User Information, Server Information, and Logon Information sections with the correct server settings.
  • Step 13:You can choose either POP or IMAP as your account type from the drop-down menu in the Server Information section.
  • Step 14:After entering the Gmail server settup for Outlook, click the More Settings button.
  • Step 15:Head to the Outgoing Server tab and select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication option.
  • Step 16:Make sure to select Use same settings as my incoming mail server as well.
  • Step 17:Go to the Advanced tab and choose SSL from both the drop-down menus to use an encrypted connection.
  • Step 18:Input the server ports in the Incoming server and Outgoing server (SMTP) fields.
  • Step 19:Click OK to exit the Internet Email Settings window.
  • Step 20:Select Test Account Settings to verify the configured Gmail server setup for Outlook.
  • Step 21:After completing the verification, click Next and select Finish to complete the manual setup in Gmail server settings for Outlook.
