If your Yahoo account does not open or if you face difficulty in sending and receiving emails, then it is possibly a server connection problem. The general causes of the server connection failure are slow internet service, incorrect server settings, outdated system software, unsupported browser or app, and many others. Solution-1: Check the internet

  • If the Yahoo server could not be connected, the first thing to check is the device’s internet connection.
  • Make sure the internet is working by launching a web browser on the device.
  • If the internet is working well, continue with the next solution. 

Solution-2: Update the browser

  • Sometimes, the browser does not support secure connections. In such a case, update the browser and retry to log in to the Yahoo Mail account.
  • If the Yahoo not connecting to server issue is persists, go for the next solution. 

Solution-3: Try another browser

  • Using an old or unsupported browser can be the reason behind the server connection failure.
  • Access the email account using any other web browser on the device.
  • Now, check if you could access the Yahoo Mail server.
  • If you are still not able to access your email account, then go to the next solution. 

Solution-4: Try the Yahoo Mail app

  • If you are trying to access your Yahoo Mail account from the Yahoo Mail app, then update the app and try to access your emails.
  • If you do not have the app on your device, install it from Google Play Store or App Store.
  • Add your Yahoo mail account and log into it.
  • See if you could connect to the server and access your emails. If not, check out the next solution. 

Solution-5: Verify the server settings

  • If you face the connectivity issue while trying to access your Yahoo Mail account on an email client application, check the configured server settings.
  • Open the Account settings on the email client app and verify the settings with the below incoming and outgoing mail server information.
