How to do Outlook Configuration for Aol Mail?

AOL Mail is a web-based email provided by AOL free of cost for its users. Before configuring the AOL Mail on Microsoft Outlook configuration, choose your incoming server protocol; POP or IMAP. POP stands for Post Office Protocol that downloads the mail from the server for permanent local storage. IMAP is a server protocol that downloads a copy of the emails from the server and caches emails locally on the email clients. Moreover, IMAP is a form of cloud storage, and you can access your emails whenever required from any device/client.

Carry out these steps to configure an AOL Mail account on Outlook:

  • You need to open the Windows desktop first and navigate to Microsoft Outlook 2016/2016/2013/2010 since the steps for setting the AOL mail are the same for those Outlook versions.
  • Click on the File  tab from the menu bar and select  Info that is available on the left side panel.
  • Click the Add Account  button and enter your AOL mail address in the text box.
  • After entering the full email address, click the Connect button.
