How To Configure iPhone Email Settings?

Apple provides a built-in email app --- Mail --- for iPhone to add and manage multiple email accounts. Scroll down this page to get configure your iPhone email settings.

  • Step 1:To begin with, turn on cellular data or connect your iPhone to your local wireless network.
  • Step 2:Next, open the Settings app and tap the Passwords & Accounts tab.
  • Step 3:For older iPhone models, tap the Mail, Contacts, Calendars tab.
  • Step 4:Tap the Add Account button and choose any one of the following email service providers to configure your email settings.

  • Step 6:Exchange
  • Step 7:Google
  • Step 8:Yahoo
  • Step 9:AOL
  • Step
  • Step 11:Input your email address and password in the required fields and tap Next.
  • Step 12:Wait until your email account is verified by the Mail app.
  • Step 13:Select the Contacts and Calendars options and tap Save to complete the setup.

Configuring The Email Settings On Your iPhone Manually:

  • Step 1:If you wish to configure the email account settings manually, tap the Other button from the list of email providers.
  • Step 2:Next, tap the Add Mail Account button and enter your email address and password in the Email and Password fields.
  • Step 3:If necessary, type a name and description for your account.
  • Step 4:Tap Next and choose IMAP or POP as your account type.
  • Step 5:Enter your incoming mail server name (IMAP/POP3) in the Host Name field below Incoming Mail Server.
  • Step 6:Under the Outgoing Mail Server section, enter the outgoing mail server name (SMTP) in the Host Name field.
  • Step 7:Enter your email account password and select Password for Authentication.
  • Step 8:Select the default port 25 in the Server Port field if you wish not to use SSL for email encryption.
  • Step 9:Tap Next after entering the necessary information.
  • Step 10:Select the Contacts, Calendars, and Mail options.
  • Step 11:Finally, tap Save and fetch your email data.
