Fill the User Name and Password fields with your Gmail address and its password in the Login Information section.

Access the More Settings button and select the Outgoing Server tab.

Mark the My outgoing server(SMTP) requires authentication checkbox, and select the Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button.

Go to the Advanced tab and enter the server port numbers.

For POP, enter 995 and select SSL from the drop-down bar for an encrypted connection for configure gmail in outlook.

For IMAP, enter 993 as the port number and select SSL for a secure connection.

For SMTP, enter 465 and choose SSL for an encrypted connection.

Close the More Settings window and click on the Test Account Settings button to verify your server settings.
