Here, we are going to see the simple steps to configure Comcast email port settings in Outlook.
Outlook
Step 1: Turn on your computer.
Step 2: Open the Outlook application.
Step 3: Click the File tab.
Step 4: Select the Account Settings button and then click Account Settings…
Step 5: Click New…
Step 6: In the Add Account window, click the radio button for the E-mail Account option.
Step 7: Click Next.
Step 8: Select the radio button for the Manual setup or additional server types option.
Step 9: Choose POP or IMAP in the following window.
Step 10: Under the User Information section, enter the user name in the Your Name field.
Step 11: Type the e-mail address in the E-mail address field.
Under Server Information,
Step 12: Click the Account Type list and select IMAP.
Step 13: In Incoming mail server, type imap.comcast.net
Step 14: In Outgoing mail server, type smtp.comcast.net
Under the Logon Information section,
Step 15: Enter the username and the Comcast e-mail password in the corresponding fields.
Step 16: Click the checkbox for the Remember Password option.
Step 17: On the right side, click the More Settings… button.
Step 18:Click the Outgoing Server tab.
Step 19:Click to check the option My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Step 20:Next, select the Use same settings as my incoming mail server option.
Step 21:Click OK.
Step 22:Click the Advanced tab.
This is where you need to add the port information for the Comcast email account. Follow these steps carefully.
Step 23:Enter the appropriate port information in the fields shown (port information provided earlier).
Step 24:Click the OK button.
Step 25: The Outlook application will run a test configuration with the entered Comcast email settings.
Step 26: Once the account verification is complete, click the Close button.
Step 27: Finally, click Finish.
