How To Complete o365 Smtp Settings?  

Office or o365 is a part of Microsoft. You will need the correct o365 SMTP settings to configure your O365 email account on any email client.

The Office or o365's SMTP settings and the procedure to set up an email account on a client is given below.

  • The outgoing mail server address is
  • For an insecure connection, the port number is 25.
  • The SMTP port number is 587 for TLS connection in o365 SMTP settings.
  • For an encrypted connection, select the Use SSL option and enter the port number as 465.
  • Enter your Office 365 email address in the Username section.
  • Make sure not to turn on the CapsLock or NumLock keys while entering the password.
  • Make sure to save the settings you have made.
  • In the Requires authentication section, select Yes. 
  • Select the Authentication type as password.
  • You can now configure your email account using the above settings.

Configuring your email account:

  • Launch the email client in which you are going to add the Office 365 email account.
  • Now, go to the File menu and select the Add Account tab on the left panel.
  • Enter the login credentials of your email account and other details.
  • Choose the Manual Setup option to configure your email account.
  • Enter the incoming and outgoing server details correctly to configure your account.
  • Choose the account type as POP or IMAP. 
  • If you have selected IMAP, enter the incoming server details of IMAP.
  • The IMAP and POP server addresses are
  • Use the port 995 for secure TLS/SSL IMAP connection, and 993 for secure POP connection.
  • Once you are done with the o365 SMTP settings, you will be able to send and receive emails from your email account.
