How To Access Btinternet Imap Settings?

If you are a new user and want to set up your Btinternet.com email account in an email client, use the Btinternet IMAP settings that are given below.

Choose the Account type as IMAP.

The Btinternet.com incoming mail server address is mail.btinternet.com.

Enter the IMAP port number as 993.

The outgoing mail server address is mail.btinternet.com.

The outgoing port number is 587.

Choose the security type as SSL or TLS for an encrypted connection.

Enter the full email address of your Btinternet.com account in the Username section.

Type your BT Mail password correctly and hit enter it will take you to Btinternet IMAP settings section.

Setting up BT Mail account on an Android smartphone:

Unlock your smartphone and go to the Apps section.
Open your email application and select the Add new account option while doing Btinternet IMAP settings.
Since you are setting up your email account manually, select the Other option.
If you've already added an email account in your email application, go to the Settings section and select Add account.
When the prompt to log in appears, enter the Btinternet email address and password correctly.
Enter the incoming mail server details using the email settings given on this page.
Now, type the outgoing mail server details.

In the SMTP security section, select STARTTLS.
Choose the authentication method as password.
When prompted for sign in, select Yes.
Enter your username and password of the BT Mail.
Make sure to save the settings you have made.
Once you are done, you will be able to receive and send emails.
Go to the Compose Mail section to create a new email.
Enter the recipient email address in the To section. Then, type the subject and message.
Once you have composed your email, tap the Send button.
Your email message will be sent to the recipient once you complete the Btinternet IMAP settings.
